Christine Corrigan is the author of "Surviving Cancer Twice with Love and Lists:.
A mom. wife and recovering attorney, Christine shares her fierce story of surviving cancer twice. At age 15, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. And as an adult, she battled breast cancer.
Her book was inspired by her medical support team who thought it might be helpful if she created a list of lessons for women going through cancer. And she carefully braids these two stories together reflecting back from the perspective of time and experience.
Christine shares her writing journey with us. From the fleeting idea of writing lists to the disciplined path she took to build her writing habit, this is a realistic glimpse into the rigor of writing.
Our conversation focuses on our limiting beliefs around asking for help. The struggle of receiving support. The challenge of letting go of control. And the magic that happens when you let others bolster you up. Christine is candid about how the experience of letting others in became an ignitor for serving other women.
And as always, In this episode, we talk about success, courage, and pivots.
Exploring the notion of "practical realities", Christine has carefully cultivated a guide-book for others on the cancer journey. The book is available on Amazon.
